This is the story of an isolated Alaskan town that is plunged into darkness for a month each year when the sun sinks below the horizon. Gohda comments: Vampire movies are hit and miss, and are rarely scary (or very gory either). No doubt this is a dark vampire tale, and a very original idea. I really liked the zombified look of the vampires. I would've loved to have seen this as an indie horror, rather than having the A-grade sheen, but oh well. The violence and gore in this is used very nicely, particularly the part where the vampires really let loose on the townsfolk as they start to realise some shit is going down and should get the fuck outta dodge... there's that cool aerial shot of vampires slaying everybody in sight, with blood spraying all over the place and staining the white snow.
